Labour & Employment

When issues arise regarding your employment, they can often be complex and frustrating. We advise and represent both unionized and non-unionized clients in resolving such employment related conflicts effectively, cost-efficiently and with an understanding of individual needs and interests.

For unionized employees, we assist in understanding the dynamics of grievance arbitration, how to draft a grievance and, with permission of the union, we represent clients in the arbitration process.

For employees who are not unionized, we advise and represent clients in seeking tailored solutions for any dispute that occurs in the workplace, which may include:

  • Workplace harassment;
  • Discipline;
  • Random drug testing;
  • Discrimination;
  • Workplace safety;
  • Termination ; or
  • Federal Public Service Employment Policies.

We also provide independent legal advice for clients who have been offered a new employment contract or who have been offered a severance package or proposal for compensation for early termination.
